A City In Iceland Turned Off Street Lamps To Show People The Northern Lights

On Wednesday night it was widely publicised that the northern lights in the Icelandic capital, Reykjavík, were going to be some of the best that have ever been seen. And in preparation for that, the Reykjavík higher-ups decided to turn off the street lights for an hour starting at 10pm in about a dozen neighbourhoods, allowing skywatchers to really appreciate the northern lights.
